I just moved to the area and I'm in a new apartment complex. I don't know anyone around the area my age.
I know some people from work but they live far away. I don't work in the area.
People tell me "just say hi!".. but be realistic. When/where/to whom do I say "hi"? It isn't like there's a flock of people always sitting at my doorstep.
I don't have anywhere to grill, so BBQing is out.
I've tried checking out the pool, but there is never anyone there.
I'm not interested in finding a date.. just some friends!
How can I meet some people around here?! Anywhere around here! Help!

You have to just keep going outside. But what to do, right? You have a car? Wash it and work on it all the time. Only a bike? Then ride it around the complex all day and wash it and work on it. What about roller blading around the area? I used to always meet people that way. They're real curious about roller blading. Mainly you just need to find something to do outside for prolonged periods...it'll happen.

DOnt dream ur life like the MELROSE PLACE ... There are lot of weridos and strangers in this world .. SAVE URSELF a few weeks to make freinds outside of ur apartments.. U dont want anyone to stalker u at ur aprtment.. be wise at this matter.. I know u are LONELY but safe urself from this silly ideas .. I am alone and moved in a new lovely apartment. I dont come to make freinds .. i met a young girl who lives four doors from me... i met her a month later which is reasonable .. so be patience and enjoy your moments alone before u get real busy with ur lifestyle in this new place...

if your complex participates in national night out ( I believe its in a few weeks) its a great opportunity to meet people. NNO is a night to meet with your neighbors, my apt. is doing it. if they dont participate, ask your landlord if it would be possible to arrange something like this, preferably on a weekday so people dont have anything going on.

We purely moved right into a sparkling condominium complicated too. the only ingredient all of us understand of is to bypass to the pool. perchance walk around the complicated contained in the nighttime and see if absolutely everyone is putting out outdoors.
