is it a boy or girl?

the belly slopes then poches out.. does that give a sign that its a girl or a boy. i understand there no reall way of telling until u go to the doctors and they look and tell u . but im curious...?

i could not ever tell like that! i only found out by ultrasound and they were right with that 2 out of 3

Although it's nice to guess. That is just an old wives tale. There are soo many of them out there. Some women believe the type of food you crave will determine the gender of your baby, Here are just a few myths:
Type of food you eat
The way you carry during your pregnancy
There is one that if you put your wedding ring on a string, lay down and someone holds it almost on top of your belly and if it goes around in a circle or if it sways back and forth determines the gender of your unborn baby
Some say if you get pimples determines the sex

I have one girlfriend who swares that she knew she was having a boy cause she was craving fish sticks lol...I guess people just believe what they want to believe. And that is fine just as long as it makes them happy ya know what I mean? Who is anyone to burst a pregnant moms bubble..right?

The only way to find out exactly what you are having is by an ultra sound and that isn't always sure because if the ultra sound says you are having a girl then that isn't completely always true either cause your son could be hiding his winkie.

I even had a girlfriend who has 3 girls and got pregnant with her 4th baby and the dr. (after an ultrasound) told her she is finally going to get her lil boy. Low and behold she has now her 4th girl.

So...really there is nooo way that even an ultra sound can guarantee the gender of your unborn 100%.

I do believe though an amnio can tell you 100% If you really want to know you might want to consider one. I do know that if you are over 36 years of age your ob/gyn will want to give you one for the reasons of birth defects and down syndrome.

yes there is!!! doctors told me I was having a boy (saw testicles and all) and guess what SURPRISE! its a girl! ... but 1 thing I was thankfull for was my motherly insticts I always dreamed of girls and I couldnt bring my self to buying boy stuff (thank God) ... however this also might help if you dont have any insticts of what you might have HOPE IT HELPS!

Boy: you get a basketball shaped belly and only gain weight on just your stomach also the bottom of your tounge is blue...

Girl: your belly is alot more wide (like when u stick a pillow underneath your shirt ,playing around) and if you are doing a healthy diet or at least eating normal and you start gaining weight in your thighs , arms and your face is shaped more roundly could be signs of a girl!

I've always heard....
If you look like you have a basketball (round & out front) it's a boy.
If you just got wider and it's all around then it's a girl.
Most of the time in my family it's been decently accurate. Good Luck and see the sonogram!

Thats a myth. How a woman carries her baby does not signify
the sex of the baby. Having an ultrasound is the only way to
confirm the baby's gender.

Actually most of the time its pretty easy for me to determine when a baby will be a boy. And i have always been right so far.

There is no real way to tell. The rest are just old wives tales. I have six and everyone someone tried to predict and was wrong lol.

check the heartbeat. 140bpm and down means a boy and 140 and high 150's its a girl. but this is only a myth, but it worked twice on me. both were high 150's both girls. bpm means heartbeats per minutes. good luck!!!
