I prefer listening to rock over rap. Im just curious to see other people's opinions.

i like rock better, my friends talk about me cuz i like rock better then rap, they tell me just because im black i have to listen to this sort of music, i like it because it tells a story, yeah rap tell a story of how there going to shoot or kill somebody, or what there going to do to a couple of h0es, you tell me would you rather listen to "the Fray' how to save a life" song or some rap song called shoot em' up???? the world is to crazy already.

Defininently Rock, because it has more context, variety, more emotion is there, even in metal, and just listen to it. Rap is outrageous all they do is curse, do drugs and talk about F******.Rock has some song that are outrageous or stupid, but it s not every other song you hear. Rap was good back in the day but now, Rock would most certainly beat out rap any day.

Although I like both, I love soft and hard rock. Everyone is saying that rap uses swear words and talks about hoes, well so does rock, not all rap is bad and not all of rock is bad. Rock just seems more relaxing to me and I am from the 80's, rock was great then!!!

I prefer rock. My reason is that I find the songs more meaningful to me. Don't get me wrong it might be the opposite for another person, I just prefer rock. Actually I like every type of music except country and most rap.

I perfer listening to rock because I believe good rock takes more creativity than good rap. I can appreciate rap for what it is but I am more appreciative of rock and enjoy its style of music more.

neither or both. it matters what is said in the song. i prefer to listen to soft rock not lik all the heavy meatal ones. and i really dont listen to rap soo its rock 4 me

Rap bcuz rap actually has a beat that you can dance to unless there's a way to dance to rock that i don't kno about or i just don't want to kno about

It is better to listen to what YOU prefer... No one can answer that question but YOU...!!!! And to address the simpletons that think that what you see on TV and hear on the radio is all that there is to offer... DO SOME MORE RESEARCH...!!!
