How do you customize the sidebar for your blog's permalink pages in Blogger?

How do you customize the sidebar for your blog's permalink pages in Blogger?

I can see the tag to specify which of the sidebar items shows up on the main or archive page, but none of it shows up on the permalink pages-- the sidebar is blank. Can anyone help? Thanks

you have to put everything in manually when you're editing your account
