I love the idea. I think that people stay more youthful when they accept their aging bodies, actually.
The other day I had a lovely conversation with a woman who was at least 70, wearing a bright bikini on the beach, wading in the water. She wasn't trying to look young, she just totally OWNED her 70+ year old body. She looked great!
I think that when people get surgery to age more slowly, and they try everything on earth to stay young-looking, they just look weird. It doesn't have to do completely with the face lift cat-like eye appearance (or that permanent "surprised" look), or obvious fake boobs, although that's part of it. It has to do with women who refuse to age not being able to completely own their bodies. Confidence is beauty, even after conventional youthful beauty fades, and although women with lots of surgery might look younger than this 70 year old, they don't look as beautiful.
Besides that, there is no way to really not age, externally or internally. Eventually, everyone will turn 60. Our hearts might not work as well, we might not hear as well, our joints will creak. There is no way to keep ahead of the sagging flesh, no matter how many procedures one has to stop it. Eventually, one has to accept that time can't be stopped, that people just age. Don't you think people would feel better if they simply respected their bodies throughout the process instead of fighting it, trying to poke and prod and tighten the body into submission? Everyone has to give up the fight eventually, but if they age gracefully at least they won't have spent the last half of their lives doing foolish, useless things to their bodies!

I want to age, think about the alternative. I'm 48, look younger, and feel younger still. It's all in the attitude. Have fun with it. I'll let you in on a secret. You know they say that once you hit a "certain age", you're over the hill? Guess what's on the other side of the hill? Another hill!!! More challenges, more life. What do a few silver hairs or wrinkles around the eyes mean in comparison with that?

I watched a program on TV last night and they had Mami Van Doreen on there. She said she never had any face lifts until she was 60 something. She is now 73 and she still looks good. She said she never had that much done. If you take care of your health from the inside out then the outside in will take care of you. Make sure the health is good and then get some 'Caladrin' and use it. It won't make the wrinkles dissapear over night but does help.

Life shouldn't be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body - but rather to skid in sideways, Champagne in one hand, strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO HOO - What a Ride!"

funny thing is, anything that you do to stop the looks of ageing (plastic surgery, botox, etc.) eventually produces a look similar to wax manequins in a warehouse fire. Be happy with what God gives you.

You can as long as you dont smoke and tan. Eating right helps too. And you gotta treat your skin nicely and not irritate it all the time.
