Why do women have to work nowadays?

Before we usually stay at home and take of the children. Now , we have to care of the children and work at the same time. :(

Talents for me do not exist at the home! Cooking and cleaning are 2 things my husband is actually much better at than I.

Statistically, stay at home moms do not spend anymore time with their school age children than working mothers. Also, studies have shown that daycare has no negative effect on children (as long as it is a good daycare. Only bad daycares have neg effects--in fact, Dr. Dobson once quoted a study that said daycares were bad, but if you read the whole study, it said daycares had no negative effect unless it was a poor quality daycare. So watch whay people tell you about studies on daycare), that daycare can be beneficial, and that daycare does NOT affect the child's parental attachment. So if you want to work,why not? If you don't want to work, you don't have to (unless your finances necessitate it). Children of working parents tend to be more independent, successful, and autonomous.

Therefore, why can't we just stop passing judgment on each other for the choices we've made?

Have you taken a good look at the house and vehicle prices lately? If women don't work full time there is no way to pay the bills for some people.

Other people are quite honestly just plain GREEDY and love to live way beyond their means.

Big difference between WANTS and NEEDS.

You NEED a place to live. You WANT that huge 4 bedroom house in the new subdivision that the bank owns.

You NEED transportation. You WANT the two brand new SUV's in the driveway that the bank owns.

What it comes down to is there's a lot of STUPID people out there that don't WANT to live with a little bit less and don't care if the bank owns them, as long as they look "successful" to the rest of the world.

Ironically you can thank the feminist movement for that...it helped clog the job market with more people. Add illegal aliens and outsourcing, and you have a recipe for financial disaster.

My husband has a pretty good job and I'm able to stay at home with our son...we just don't get as many toys for ourselves.

The cost of living has gone up over the last 10 years. When I started driving over 30 years ago gas was .45 per gallon, now it's over $3.00. If you could live on love it would be great, but it's not feasable. It now takes a husband and wife to get by. Good luck to you.

Because our society is one of greed. People think it's more important to have stuff than to care for the kids. So, put the kids in daycare for 8-10 hours a day, spend 2 hours with them before bedtime and then buy a new care. I truly find it disgusting.

We need to make something of ourselves and have a back up plan and career of our own. We wouldnt want our husband to run off with his secretary and leave us high and dry now would we??
