I hear people spout hate for President Bush all the time. He is Hitler, He is dumb, He is a liar (Clinton fans should talk), He started the war so he could get more oil, on and on and on and on. Liberals are like listening to a broken record. They keep saying the same thing over and over. Kerry did the same thin in the last election. It is getting to the point where I want to wave my hand in front of their eyes to see if they are in a trance. HEY LIBERALS CAN WE PLEASE TALK ABOUT SOMETHING, ANYTHING ELSE. THE “I HATE BUSH” BIT IS OLD AND WORN OUT.

Since it seems more get's done when the president's approval numbers are low, I would say it helps the country more than it hurts it. Plus you have to keep in mind that not everyone who says that is a Liberal, a lot of those comments come from unhappy American's who don't pay attention to politics. They'll just drop a question(why is Bush so dumb?)once in a while.

a.vasquez741...- I didn't know America stood for tyrannical leaders, endless war and a f'd up foreign policy.. Thanks for opening my eyes, I will now support the president..

Ignoring the terrible job and harmful policies of the Bush administration is far worse than complaining about it.

Bitching about all that does accomplish something though--it keeps all that fresh in the minds of people. What does that do? It helps convince them that Bush is a bum. Don't believe me? What about those approval numbers? I don't think a handful of journalists or bloggers can take credit--after all, Bush has done a lot to deserve it--but every little bit helps. Reminders of the sheer number and magnitude of the failures of the Bush administration might prevent them from voting for someone similar in 2009 even if we're stuck with him until then. In my eyes--and I consider myself to be a left-leaning moderate--that's a positive thing.

Conservatives were much more vicious about Clinton so I don't see where anyone can get off saying "OK guys, it's enough already." If you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen. Especially if you built the kitchen.

***

Acting like Bush's actions and the direction he's taking our country in is some kind of "business as usual" is beyond naive or blind. I don't "hate" Bush but I sure as hell am not going to say "He's the decider..." and leave it at that.

Anybody who's looking for an opinion--like people who hang out on political boards--is going to get one from me. Bush and the neocons are bad for America. If there was any justice Bush would be impeached but until then I won't let anyone get off easy by saying "No one could have known that Iraq would go badly" or "Catching Bin Laden wasn't really that important" or "They found some rusty 19-year-old barrels of poison last week in Iraq--see, there were WMD's!" or other some other BS.

Absolutely not. Obviously, we still have the same problematic administration as we did prior to the hate talk. I don't think it ever helps to emote hatred.

But I think it is time that Bush and his administration began to show us that they are thinking. I'm pretty sure that he does have a brain- I used to think he was a total idiot, and that the thinking was done by Condoleeza Rice and Dick Cheney. I do not agree with their opinions, but they do appear to have some brains.

Then Bush got caught. He said something he thought was not being heard, and it was spot on. His comment about Syria was informed and succinct. So he's been doing this all along but using his "I'm just a country boy who was so rich I never even stepped inside a supermarket" persona to catch us off guard.

Now I am more convinced than ever that we need a change of administration. If all this mess was the product of a thinking brain, we need to have another brain in office.

Another thing that bothers me about the rather mis-named conservatives in the Republican party is their flight to emotional argument as soon as possible. It is not stretching the truth to say that this administration is pandering to the evangelical right in the matters of abortion and teaching Creationism in schools. I won't get started there - I'd be all night.

As to saying the same thing all the tiime - we should do a research project, to verify my hypothesis that the more important it is that we have an intellectual person in office, the more they and their opponents will retreat to Madison Avenue style, and not say anything worth repeating.

Thank you for allowing me this chance to clarify my views. I am, however, voting Democrat.

Just like your excuses (and those who are taking up for bush) are worn out. It is bush's fault we are in this mess. A liar? He is a heavy duty one. Why? Clinton lied about cheating. That was between he, his family, and Monica. bush lied about WMD's. People are dying from his lie. As for Hitler, the Republicans are making that up, but the Republicans have been mud-slinging for years if we disagree on their stance (remember the swift boat ads?). Now Republicans whine when bush is called names.

Got nerve talking about trances. The republicans have been saying the same thing for years now. Dems are soft on security over and over. Kerry flip-flops. They were saying that over and over until you fell for it, not realizing I rather have someone admit they were WRONG than continuing on a distructive path with no way out. By the way, weren't we suppose to get Osama for 9/11? Why aren't Conservatives still talking about that?

To answer another question about bush going to war for more oil. It is true. If not and it was for "democracy" and to drive away terrorism, then why isn't he in Dubai? Why isn't he in the African countries doing the same thing? Why? Because there is no monitary value for him. Answer that question.

I can't stand bush, and it won't get old and worn out until 2009. By the way, his approval rate is still down, so obviously a lot more people don't think it is worn out either.

I totally agree and of late have been using the word president cause it just sounds better .LIKE when i say the president supports supplying arms to ISRAEL that are being used to kill civilians .YOU HAVE no clue which one i am talking about.
They all are guilty as charged for this.
WHEN i say the president has done nothing to change the state of the national health care crisis .YOU again have no clue who i am talking about .THE LAST FOUR have done nothing as this is a growing situation with the elderly and breakdown of the american family .ADDITIONALLY both conservatives and liberals are equally to blame i know both sides and they all leave families split and in crisis.ONLY republicans traditionally have had more money and property to divide this still does not help the kids as mom and dad begin dating and find new partners .
WHEN i say for instance that we need some kind of financial reform of banking laws and lending practices i become a communist for attempting to offer all americans low cost intrest for affordable housing in america a graduated intrest rate based on income from 1-6% and credit cards all at 9% to keep americans from spending to far in the future. Investment in communities for assisted home repairs and rent controls equal to 6% of the value of the property and assisted rent to own programs so we can begin to address the rising poverty in america.

People that spout hate of Bush are just being stuipid- they have no argument about why they don't like what he's doing.

I don't like his policies or how he governs. I don't think he's particularly bright... but I don't hate him.

btw-- Kerry did not say he hated Bush. They debated the issues in a civil manner I thought. That said, the Republicans did throw alot of vile stuff towards Kerry.

They say the same thing over and over for a reason. They dont have a clue whats going on in the world or at home so a safe answer for them is always bush this and bush that. Some at least back up their arguments which i respect that but the ones that dont have a clue about international policy and just blame him for being bush is straight up retarded

It might, lets face it the republicans have been terrible for the country so people are unhappy. Spouting off might get people who don't vote to come on and help make a change, but we have a couple problems for one the dems and repubs are both pretty liberal when it comes to the tax payers money and another is you can't get any independents in office because of the laws setup to block them which of course is designed by the dems and repubs.

that bush is dumb and a liar are not hateful assertions. bush is dumb and incompetent, and i don't say that becuase i hate him but because the mountain of evidence that piles higher each and every day, at some point, has to be ackowledged. it was smart for the fox news channel to get the phrase "bush hater' out early on for anyone that disagreed with his policy, so dittoheads could forever use the word hater to discredit bush's policy choices. nobody is out there talking about how much they hate BUSH. yet when they are critical of his policy, your brainwashed mind hears 'hate bush'. fox news cheerleaders have gotten better political advice for quite a number of years now. your condition was to be expected.

I agree with you, about talking bad about the president, of the United States, as Americans we should be united and stand up for what America stands for. Any nation, would like to compare with us as a free nation and as I have always told my family be proud to be an American and above all else respect our President as you would want to be respected. I sometimes do not agree with the President on some of his choices but, we have to respect his opinions , because what can you accomplish in being hateful when you don't like someone even if he is the President of the U.S.
