I am going into my junior year in high school, which should I take first, chemistry or physics? I am not quite sure what I want to be but I am thinking of being a vet.

I am planing on taking one my junior year and the other one my senior year, I just don't know which one I should take first. Oh and I am really good in math, and I enjoy it.

it really doesn't matter since you'll be taking both before graduating. Chemistry and Physics isn't like PRe-Calc and Calc. You don't need to take one then the other. If I were you, I would take Chemistry first. Physics is more math based and it would be better to take it your senior year if you're good in math. It would make things easier.

if you want to be anything medically related, go with Chemistry. If you can take them both (Physics one year, Chemistry the other) than just pick one and go with it then take the other. All you really need to do well in physics is know some math. Chemistry is a entirely different science. Take them both if you can, though. Good luck!

As I am reading Physics at University I would definently advise you to do physics first as it is far better! Chemistry would be more useful to a vet, so surely you want to have that fresher in your mind when are training to become a vet, so I'd do that second. Physics is by far the better subject but vet schools will be more interested in Chemistry. So do physics first and chemistry 2nd.

Take chemistry first. Physics will make a lot more sense after you've had another year of math. If you can take physics at the same time as calculus, then lots of things are going to be easier.

I generally suggest that my students first take chemistry and then take physics. This is due to them needing to have a basic idea of how to work problems in calculus for physics. They normally take precalculus as a junior and are ready for physics their senior year.

Although I prefer physics, I think Chemistry would be a better choice, especially if you want to become a Vet. Chemistry will teach you how elements and chemicals combine to produce other products, perhaps useful later when you are learning about how drugs are made.

Take the chemistry first , remember it's just an introduction. the only math you need is logarithms for doing reaction rates. Physics gets into vectors and linear algebra. Chem is more fun besides lab is more practicle and hands on. they are both good things to know
