Clinton's air strikes were done to destroy sites that were identified as chemical plants or stockpiles. They were targeted by the weapons inspectors, as Saddam wouldn't let them inspect the sites. I forget what it was called, but it was the end of Iraq's weapons programs. It was called Desert Fox.

Point: Clinton ordered strikes that last a few weeks. Bush has got us in their for atleast six years (his words, not mine).
