Esther wrote her own autobiography several years ago called "The Million Dollar Mermaid". It's a great read, really interesting and lots of juicy stuff about the movie stars of the 40s and 50s. She dated Jeff Chandler and found out he was a cross dresser. She was also married to Fernando Lamas who treated her rather badly.
