Once we suppose nothing matters, the question "Then what?" - contradicts that supposition.
To put it another way: - if nothing matters, no questions can arise from that. All questions arise from things that matter.

Well, I don't think anything really DOES matter...at least not in the sense that this is ultimate reality, because it's not. This world is like a sandbox that we play in.
What if the purpose of living is just to BE? What if just by existing you fulfill all requirements? Then there's nothing left except to live your life according to your nature.

In the grand scheme of things, nothing really does matter, on a global/universal scale.
It's finding the little things that matter to you and your loved ones that is important. Those things matter.
