Heck YES they are going to the playoffs!

There is NO why not!

I am beginning to believe they could win The Central Divison.

I had high hopes for the wild card, but after watching them take 2 of 3 against the white sox (at home) I see that they are playing with so much heart and soul.

I honestly think they win at least 100 games and beat up The West Division winner in the 1st round, then maybe play Boston for the ALCS.

HELL YES the TIGERS are going to the playoffs. Without a doubt and especially since we just beat the CHISOX 2 of 3. I know they still have the lead on us against them this year but we have a 5 1/2 game lead on them right now, they are slumping and we are going strong.
Our pitching is incredible. The best in the league, with 2 guys that can whip the ball over 100 miles an hour.
Our hitting is ruthless as well, everyone may have a bad few games but a few other guys always pick up the slack. The cat is back in Detroit and she's purring mighty fine right now....
The defense is incredible as well. Everything is going the Tiger's way. The other teams seem to have the most untimely errors and we take advantage of all of them and pull out wins. Plus we've had a heck of a lot of late comeback wins. That is a true sign of a great team that knows how to win.
And you can't forget the Manager Jim Leyland. This guy is a pure genius. Who knows what's up his sleeve but so far it's been pretty damn magical. I have a huge love for all Detroit sports. GO TIGERS baby!!!

Tiger keep rollin!

The Tigers are putting together another streak...shhhhh dont tell anyone, because they are suppose to be tailing off

D Young lit a spark today and we needed that from a left handed bat. Dont forget D young is in the last year of his contract and he is also hanging on to his job by a thread. Look for this to continue, but it will make management think twice about risking too much in a trade. Its a win win for us fans, because the worst thing that happens is that we get to watch the guys win who have suffered with us for the past several years.

I personally think they should continue to go after Soriano. If Young keeps it up we get our left handed bat back and we improve the right side significantly. That is a double whammy to all those chasing.

With Young getting off to a good start tonight that will instill confidence going into the next game...he could have a monster 2nd half that could better what Abreu could give us without spending the money. Believe me management is thinking this way also. Abreu is out anyway. The Tigers will not spend that much money on a left handed bat with only 8 HRs. Soriano would be a better investment.

Back to the game. Verlanders ERA dropped again as his ROY stock rises. He got in a little trouble early, but it turned out to be the only run he gave up and he only gave up a few hits after that. One thing about these Tigs as soon as these pitcher get a few runs and a win is in sight it seems as though they kick it up a notch and virtually shut people down.

Since the wild card era started, the team with the best record in baseball at the All-Star break has never failed to qualify for the playoffs. I'll go ahead and say that yes, the Tigers will make the playoffs, but as the wild-card team.

Yes they are. They've compiled a terrific record in a tough division. They've done so while the defending World Series champs have played just as well as they did last year.

Jim Leyland is unquestionably a Hall of fame manager. Winning in the playoffs could be a little tougher because they have a lot of guys who haven't been there.

But the tigers are definitely going.

Yes, they will win the Central Division. This last series with the White Sox shows who rules!! How far they will go in the playoffs will depend on whether their timely hitting will continue and their great pitching will hold up.

Have to call them as I see them!!

Yes they will definetley get to the playoffs. And they will definetley get to the World Series. But they will not win the WS because they will have to play the Cardinals.

I have to say no. because they have too much former texas rangers blood in them. They will most likely choke by the third way mark due to kenny rogers arm falling off the face of the earth like in his past 5 seasons.

Its going to be close between them and the White Sox, and since I hate -- as in HATE -- the White Sox, I sure the Tigers get in.

Yes. I also predict they're going to add Shea Hillenbrand to their lineup in the coming days as well.
