if you don't know the different between all 3, please dont answer.
what are these medicines uses and what are their side affects. I had lower back pain and my doctor prescribed me all 3. Is it necessary for me to take all 3? I just want to take the one that make the pain go away/makes me feel like i'm on cloud 9.
i do have a description and side affects from the pharmacist but i want it broken down in lamen's terms.

Hydrocodone (Vicodin) is a narcotic (potentially addictive). Naproxen (Aleve) is an anti-inflammatory, analgesic (non narcotic pain reliever, and hard on the stomach). Metaxalone (brand name Skelaxin) is a muscle relaxer. Sounds like you prefer the hydrocodone. See below.

Naproxen in an anti-inflammatory. Metaxalone is a muscle relaxant and Hydrocodone is an opiate based pain killer. The combination of all three should make you feel just fine.
Definitely do not operate any heavy machinery. Stick with the TV remote.

The cloud nine feeling is form the hydorcodone, which is a narcotic pain medication. Therapeutically, you can cut back on it. The Metaxalone is a muscle relaxer and is to reduce tension and spasms in the back. The Napoxen is an NSAID and is and antiinflamitory AND pain killer. Those two should be taken according to your doctor's instructions, but you could call an ask about the hydorcodone.
I'm on a similar cocktail, myself, so I do sympathize.

Take all three for best pain relief. No one of them will do it as well on their own.

I know that hydrocodone is loratab... that's the pain pill.
I know that naproxen is an antiiflamitory made from asprin.
I think that metaxalone is a muscle relaxer.
