yes i had two natural births and i CAN"T handle pain very well at all, but i did my first child was with an epidural and even though i did not feel the pain the drugs themselves made me feel uhhhh i was so disorientated and i could not walk a couple of hours after.
The other one was natural she was 6lbs 1oz and i was so proud that i gave birth to her natural it was worth all the pain because after she was delivered you forget all about it. Plus the fact that i could stand up right away with no pains what so ever.
Then i gave birth to my twins one was natural and the other was an emergency c-section. Even though they only came out 2lbs and 3lbs the pain is still there. I'm not going to lie and say oh it was so easy cause it was not. But if you are like me you don't like drugging up your baby which they will get some of the drugs.
By all means try for a natural birth but if you just can't handle it then do not feel ashamed that you could not as long as your baby comes out healthy that all that matters.
Congrads on your little one!!!! Hope you have a fast delivery

I am just going to put it like this. If anybody tells you that it will not hurt, they are lying! It is in the bible that all women will have pain. The only piece of advice that I want to give you is when you start feeling the pain, start asking for pain relievers. Don't act like a superwomen and feel, o, I can wait a little while longer. Because the more that you wait, the more time goes by, and you will not be able to get anything. Just pure hard labor. Good Luck, and congrats on your new baby!

First of all....keep in mind that the weight your doctor gives you for the baby right now is an estimate...which is often wrong. If you are interested in having a natural childbirth...talk to your obgyn or consult a midwife...they have great techniques for getting you through the pain. Just remember that if you try to try to go natural and feel that the pain is too much...you can always get pain killers...but if you decide on having an epidural first...you can't change your mind.....good luck!

Dont stress it. As long is you go in there thinking I can do this! I have two children, and just had a baby a month ago... 9lbs 8oz. A five lb baby should be just fine. My best advice is stick up for yourself... if it hurts, say so! I would suggest taking medication too. Epidurals are a savor. My body doesnt do well with them, they wear off too fast... but just take it. When you do you will feel fine. Just keep a positive attitude.. you will need it.
Congrats!

I have two children and had one through natural birth...yes, it can be painful and I do recommend an epidural...you don't have to be a hero or prove anything, but you will have lots of support from your husband, family, and staff to get you through it so don't worry....you will do great! I had two difficult births, but now have two fantastic kids. Good luck!!

I have had 3 kids and on my third I CAN tell you it is a pain to remember. I had NO pain meds with my 8 year old. The most important thing is to stay calm. Breath in and out and either way with or with out pain meds. you WILL be fine! GOOD LUCK

I had my four children by cesarean and I love it. I was afraid of tearing down there so I am happy I had them cesarean. My first baby had the cord wrapped around his neck twice and was having problems when I was having my contractions so they hurried me into the operation room and delivered him cesarean. I worried about the next child so they let me have all my children by cesarean. It's a thought. It still takes so recovery, recovery was a little longer for me but that's OK. Good luck.

I would never consider a natural birth but it is your decision. I cannot take pain.

Once you get past the labor pains, I have always described, to ones who have asked, that it feels like you need to take a big crap. And then whooosh it is out.

I dunno hunny but my mother gave birth to me and my brother c- section and i think it might leave scars or that it'd be hard to lose ur baby weight coz it'll leave u with weak abs
i think natural would be better, it hurts, but it'll all fade away when u c ur baby :) choose what best suits you, ask your doctor too
good luck :)
