I would take advantage of it and give it to your baby. Since it affects them SO MUCH in the long run if they get breast milk or not. Talk to your doctor to make sure that it is actually breast milk and that the nutrients are in it. If so.. give it to the baby, since that is what it is for!

If you absolutely do not want to give the vitamins to the baby, then cabbage will dry it up. Just place it on the breasts.

You will leak until you dry up, and how long that takes depends on the person and if you take the steps to help the process along. Don't try to squeeze milk out to reduce the pressure, that actually signals your body to produce more, because it thinks you are feeding the baby and it needs to keep up supply to keep up with the demand, and don't let your breasts bounce around, it will help cause letdown (I know, I have had soaked bedsheets because I could not stand to wear my sports bra to bed at night after delivery) which will cause more milk to come in. The way that worked best for me, wear sports bras that hold your breasts tight so they stay very still, cold compresses to shrink the milk ducts and decrease milk production, and NO HANDLING THEM. The more they get handled, they more they will be stimulated and produce. Some people will continue to leak for several weeks, depends on the individual person.

Yes, you will dry up if you aren't nursing but being close and holding your baby will slow down the process. Sometimes just hearing him or even someone elses baby cry can do it too. Be careful not to stand under a warm shower too long, heat can help to bring your milk down as can stimulation. You may have this problem for quite some time everyone is different, talk to your doctor there are some way that he can help with this matter.

It'll take a few more weeks....and expect it to be painful. My breasts were soooo sore when I stopped breastfeeding. And you're leaking because there's no suction being done to express the milk...therefore, any sort of pressure on your breasts, even from like bending over or moving your arms, will cause the milk to leak. Invest in some good pads!

it's because your body will produce milk for awhile after having the baby my wife tried to breast feed our first child and could not keep up with the demand so my son was switched to formula, and she would also leak one of the mid-wife's that came to our house said it was due to a buildup of pressure with-in the breast itsself and said it would stop eventually. the doctors told us that a woman should breast feed for at least six weeks after delivery to ensure the baby get the nutrients from the mother's body to help fight off any diseases and to build up their immunity. Good luck and congratulations on the new baby

I think you should ask your doctor, but I am pretty sure you will continue making milk. It might have something to do with your hormones since you just had a baby. Maybe your should use a breast pump to at least get it all out. I really have no idea. Just ask your doctor.

you will leak until all ur milk is dried up which sometimes can take a month or so.Take a hot shower(which will cause you to leak) and you will get rid of ur milk faster. I did after all 3 of my children and it also made them not be as sore.

It does just go away naturally, but if you are having intercourse regularly it takes longer and also just hearing your baby cry can stimulate your glands to still produce milk. Give it time it will go away.

se your doctor as soon as possible. there are some injections that can be given to stop the flow of breast milk. just be glad that the milk is still flowing ans its not forming hard lumps this is what is called being caked, and it is extremely painful.
