Yes, I wrote a letter to the President encouraging him to pick a pro-life nominee for the Supreme Court. I got a form letter back asking me to support Harriet Myers (the nominee who later withdrew from consideration)
Seriously, the President will never read the letters that people send him. I work for a state senator and he never looks at the constituent letters. It's the office staff who responds, and we often just use form letters.

No way, even if I got through there would be FBI and CIA agents breaking in my door after hearing/reading what I would have to say.
I have signed petitions and written to congressmen regarding various matters - not lately, though.

No, but I've thinking about it. I mean, here I am defending him, taking a lot of nasty, idiot email from haters, but does he call? Does he send me an invitation to the White House? Does he even stop by when he's in town? No! What's up with that?

Personally, I wouldn't want to waste my time writing or e-mailing the President. You think he actually reads it? LOL. But if he did read them, I WOULD just to give him a piece of my mind!!!
