Don't ever jump off the pier if you don't know what's under the water. Especially don't dive off if you don't know how deep it is. (you'll break your neck)

But if you know the lake bottom is safe, then by all means, have fun!

Dangerous ? YES!

If you get hit by a wave going just the right (or wrong)direction you can be knocked unconscious by the , is it pilings? the big wooden things that hold the pier up.

Unconscious. you will be hard to see. I think you are doing something very risky and you don't recognize how little control you have.

Of course not, its dangerous. Never let your mother (or carer ) know. Be especially carefull when you do it the next time.

You always have to know what you are going to land in/on. Check the depth first.
