YES!!! He is overrated.
YES!!! Schaub should start.
YES!!! He has herpes and he told the girl he gave it to that his name is RON MEXICO!!
bwahahahaha!!
His accuracy sucks sooo much (but not as bad as when Quincy Carter was in the NFL).
Ron Mexico couldn't hit his own a$$ with the football.

the nfl game isn't built for running quarterbacks like mike vick... he is too different to be a good fit for their west coast offense or pretty much any pro offense. he's overrated only because he's in a system where it's hard for him to produce and make the kind of plays like he did at virginia tech. he is overrated as a typical throw-first pro qb but not as an athlete. vince young will probably find himself in a similar situation..
but the falcons are lucky b/c matt schaub is by far the best backup in the nfl and they will get alot for him once he's a free agent after this year. no doubt he will be traded, hopefully for a decent reciever to take some slack off alge crumpler. but shaub has proven he can carry the load when vick gets injured and will probably end up starting at least a few games this season.

I agree with you 100% that Mike Vick is overrated. People just dont see how bad his passes are. Sure his legs are amazing, but he cant throw his way out of a wet paper bag. The Falcons are basically putting a wide receiver under center. I dont however agree with you that matt schaub should start. I like schaub alot, but he's not as much of a weapon as Mike Vick. he should be traded to a team that needs a qb (i.e. Jets, Browns, Vikings).

Matt Schaub is not going to start. And Mike Vick is not Overrated. why do NFL defenses have to change their entire game plan when they play Falcons? Cause of Mike Vick. Drop back and he'll take off. Extra QB spys and he'll pass. he has an arm also

You're absolutely right, dude! Mike Vick is a good athlete, but no where near being a good QB. There are dozens of guys I'd rather build my team around before him. I would definitely let Matt Schaub play over Vick.

Michael Vick = Kordell Stewart = unemployeed &/or benched next season. Kordell & Vick have been thrilling gamers to observe and placed people in seats yet neither of them have gained the "vast game" yet. Hell Atlanta hasn't even been to the NFC identify game as a results of fact that Vick's been there QB so a great way as i comprehend. The Steelers enable Kordell pass in choose of Neil O'Donnell and he took them to the Superbowl, want I say greater? If Schaub would not get re-signed in ATL he will finally end up as a results of fact the starter in Detriot or Oakland.

Matt Schauab has more finese and seems to be more in control from what I have seen. Mike is a great athlete and can do things no other quarterback can do. Matt should be the starting quarterback and the Falcons should trade Vick for some talented receivers and they could be Super Bowl bound!

Right now, Vick is definitely overrated. He has a great arm, but he hasn't learned to read defenses, go through his progressions, or wait for plays to develop. He uses his running ability too much, and that is why teams with fast defenses completely neutralize him (ie Chicago). If he ever develops the ability to play QB and not just run, he'll be phenomonal. McNabb had similar problems his first couple years, but since he has learned to settle down and play within the offense, he has become one of the most dangerous QB;s in the league. The potential for him to run is always there, but he mostly uses his running ability to scramble BEHIND the line to wait for a receiver. IF Vick develops that kind of awareness (and improves his accuracy) he will be great.

I dont even think he is the most overrated qb in the NFL. I think he is the most overrated athlete in any sport of all time. After one year defenses figured out how to shut him down and he hasnt done anything since. They looked good with Schaub in there when he actually gets to play. The Falcons have such a commitment to him that they cant afford not to play him. It doesnt help that Carolina is in their division. The Buccaneers figured out how to shut him down two years ago and know every defensive coordinator knows. Look what the Bears did to him last year. Im suprised he didnt get injured. He is gonna get hurt numerous times in his career.

I saw them both play while they were in college, great players.Vick on the NFL level is overrated, and is ill suited to a west coast offense like Atlanta runs.Their is a reason so many teams pursue Schaub in a trade,Atlanta is lucky to have depth at the Qb position.

Vick is in his 3rd year in the West Coast offense. Look back in the late 80's and tell me how good Steve young was, and he had weapons everywhere, he also had legs. Vick has a stronger arm and he is faster. He will show significant improvement this year and have a rating in the 80's pass for mid to high 2,000 yards and throw for about 15-20 tds. He will run for about another 800 yards and 7-10 tds.
