I hadnt been able to go yet and was wondering if it would be a waste of my money

It's not as good as the first, but if you have any interest in seeing the third segment of the trilogy when it comes out, you should probably see this one!
You could wait until it comes out on DVD, but I think it wouldn't be a waste of money to see it in theaters... it drags in places but there are some pretty funny bits.

I enjoyed seeing it. I missed seeing the first Pirate movie in the theatre--waited for the dvd--and so I was very impressed with seeing all the action on the big screen. Captain Jack is about the same if not better than in the first movie. The action scenes--particularly the sword fight in the water wheel--are great. And Capt. Jack's escape from the cannibals is great...if you liked the first movie at all...you should definitely see the second movie.

Go, if you like long movies with a lot about giant squids. Otherwise, wait for the DVD.

went to see it yesterday....thought it was wicked!!!! some great scenes and they managed to mix scary and funny together perfectly!!! wish id seen the first one tho and will definitely be catching the next one.......and @#&% i missed the bonus scene at the end!!!! oh well a reason to watch it again!!!!

I loved it! I'd highly recommend it. It's hilarious!! (Orlando and Johnny being gorgeous is an added bonus...)
