I really had no idea why someone would tell you not to follow the directions from the manufacturers! The manufacturers develop the idea for the product, and put that idea into practice, so one would think that they would know best!

An ovulation predictor works in very much the same way as a pregnancy test, although the two detect different hormones. A pregnancy test will determine if the hormone hCG is in a woman's urine, and an ovulation test will detect if a woman has had an LH surge. In the morning, or after the woman has not urinated for a long time, there will be a higher concentration of either of these hormones in her urine, which makes it easier for the test to give the woman an accurate result.

I'm going to include the link to a trying to conceive forum that I think you might be interested in joining. (It has accurate information!!!). It's full of supportive women with boundless knowledge about these issues. I learnt so much there that I doubt I would have learnt otherwise.

I dont know why they would say not to use it. Morning urine has a higher concentrate of the HCG hormome used to detect pregnancy, that's why you should use it. It has more time for the hormone to build up if it's been sitting there a while.

some people think it'll give you a false positive.

at peeonastick.com she says it's more likely you'll catch your surge later in the day.
