The Mexican consulate says birth certificate showing Mexican father and U.S. mother must have an apostillado or official from the secretary of state. Is that a special stamp or just the usual stamp that shows the birth certificate is legal? Do I get it from the Indiana government and, if so, from which department? Thanks.

I am tired of all this dual citizenships mumbo jumbo, just pick a country like the rest of us had to do. And didn't have any other option.

It would usually be from the Indiana Secretary of State. For more information:

The word in English is apostille, and some states use "authentication."
