Lets say it is a Saturday and your friend is thinking of putting a back yard barbecue together in the evening. And--you have been planing to look for some cool summer out fits all packed in boxes in the garage. You need to try them on and go through what you want to keep and what you need to put into a future garage sale. Once you start to tackle the chores around the house that we all need to do and have put off again and again and it would consume your entire weekend . So when you talk to your friend on the phone and say "I am going to go through my summer clothes on Saturday ---but it's easier said than done !"
You'll know exactly the definition.

It's not. Doing something is way easier than talking about it. I'm not going to sit around arm chairing a situation to death when I could just get it done and move on to the next thing. This talk talk just doesn't go anywhere and that isn't easy for my type of personality.

because doing makes someone think that there is action, and saying is easier, because you don't have to put any action behind it. So its always easier said than done..if you don't believe that..check out our government when someone is up to be elected. They promise all kindsa things until they get into office then none of it gets done.

Because we are willing to say things we have no intent of following through on, therefore invalidating our word and therefore compromising our integrity. When it would be easier to say nothing at all and therefore need not have done anything at all and have compromised nothing.

Because saying it doesn't require much effort, but actually doing it does. People usually have good intentions, but for some, just not much follow through. The reasons for that, of course, are endless.

Because we think a lot faster than we act. It's very easy to think something, but it typically requires more effort to actually do it.

(Point In Case : It takes me five seconds to think - 'I know - I'll do my income taxes.' The actual act of doing my income taxes takes several days (with a great deal of cussing involved, normally.)

Talk is cheap. Anyone can have an idea, but to actually build it and make it work, takes talent. This is why marketing people make lousy engineers (or lousy engineers become marketing managers)

It's easy to talk about doing something. Getting up the nerve or energy to do something and then doing it takes work. Work is always harder to do than talking about it.
