Screw being self conscious! Doesn't it hurt?! (I think you mean you have a "scar" of a third degree burn.) There is a prescription cream that you can ask your doctor about that helps reduce the appearance of scars. Your skin may be too sensitive for it though due to it not be as old as the rest of your skin. Good luck!

Vitamin E is your best friend for scarring of any kind, including stretch marks. The sooner you start using it, the better.

You can buy it pretty inexpensively in bottles, creams and even sticks (I carry a stick with me all the time)

Scars fade over time. Other than that there are creams which claim to reduce scar tissue but they are baloney.

your doctor would be the best one to ask about the burn. but in the meantime, try not to be so self concious and learn to love yourself!

get a tattoo around/over it once it's healed
looks like you don't have the best fashion taste, but nobody will look twice
