Because they aren't really friends. They are just people you know.
True "friends" are rare and special, and hard to find.

Then obviously they are not true friends because being a friend means being able to trust the person and know they are not going to betray you or talk about you and your business behind your back. Try and find some people who you can confide in and who love you enough that you can trust them.

well its simple you can trust friends easily because there is nothing to trust them with. Its like this you will lone a person a dollar with no trust issue cause its a dollar but try doing the same with 50 on the same person then you start to question will I get it back.

omgsh i am soo with u in the whole so many friends that u cant truse omgsh i live in redoak iowa and it is full of those ppl.. i almost got put in juvey because a bunch of girls lied to the police about somthing and these were my "friends" all i can say is keep to urself dont tell ne body personal if somthing happend that u wanna tell someone right it down in a journal that always works and if there are rumors then ignore them because comming from a school where ppl get there personality from rumors if u ignore them then most of the time the person or ppl that started them will know it doesnt bother u and stop

Because so many people lie! And they pretend to be your friend to your face, but talk crap about you behind your back. A few days ago this happened between one of my best friends and I...now we are not friends anymore...apparently she had been faking who she was throughout the whole friendship. A true friendship, the kind that is rare, is where people are honest to each other and are not pretending to be someone they are not.

There are very few people you can call true friends. There are plenty of fair weather friends who will be around you during the good times, but will abandon you during your troubled times. Then there are those who befriend you for personal gain, either monetary, or social. These I do not consider friends. A friend sticks by you through thick and thin.

It's because there is just something about them you cannot trust, maybe it's because they have let you down before in the past, maybe its's because you afraid to trust them, who know's?

Because we all are human, and humans talk. You may think you have a bunch of friends but in reality there is only the select few that really cares. I go for quality not quanity!

Well if they're girls it's probably because most girls are a bit catty. I know I have a far easier time trusting my male friends than my female ones - girls can be vicious

Because I don;t believe anyone is capable of being fully honest these days, peoples morals are all screwed up, just look at some of the question on this site, explains alot...l
