Sorry if this is in the wrong section but I need to know, How much should a family of 5 make a year to be out of poverty?

It depends on how much they spend. ppl's standard of living is crucial to their concept of "rich" and "poor". Like, I've heard ppl who make 10 times the amount we do complain that they're just "barely getting by"...I know that a family of 5 CAN live comfortably on $15,000 a year, but if they're used to higher living, like the 2 cars, pool, new clothes, then it'll seem awful to them.

All I know is making under 1300$ a month is considered poor.That is just one person. so figure it out.
