i thought dead mans chest rocked but jack did not die because hes signed 4 the next movie and if they killed him off there would not be another pirates

Did you guys not watch the end of the movie when the Voodoo Lady told them that they could go save Jack by going off edge of the world, or something like that?
He definately did not die. The next movie will be all about saving him and defeating Davey Jones.

jack did not die because he is still cursed because at the very end of the first movie, after the credits, the monkey takes another piece of gold...which means that the curse still remains and the crew of the black pearl is still cursed, thats why barbossa is still alive! this movie was kinda tricky cause the only one that they ever showed under moonlight was the monkey...u never see anyone else because its always dark and rainy or sunny, but they didnt want you to forget about the curse so they had to show that the monkey still wasn't dead!!!
i think it makes perfect sense!!

I think Jack will make a came back like Agent K did in Men in Black - blow up the monster from the inside.

Awesome movie in my opinion nonetheless, I'd see it on the big screen again and again ( #3 ) already. Its entertaining, thats the way I approach movies. If I over analyze or dwell about its message, I would rather not go to the theater. And that would suck! Good luck.

I loved it better than the first one=D. I didnt know that but I figured they would have to bring him back, I mean come on its Jack lol. Also I knew there was to be a third, and what would it be without him?

he did die, the third movie will be trying to bring him to life, duh.
thats why the witch asked if they were willing to go the worlds end, to get him back.
which explains how barbossa would know how to navigate around there, since he died.
