Shortly after 911, I was on airplane headed for vacation, a guy on our airplane was wearing a turban on his head...I couldn't help but keep my eye on him. When my family arrived at our destination, here my child had scissors in her "keep busy" carry on!! Security isn't all that! Anyhow, to answer the question now, Always be aware of your surroundings!! Regardless to race or gender!

I'm ashamed to admit this, but shortly after 9/11 happened, I would have been scared and paranoid if an Arab would have been on the same plane that I was flying on. I would never have said or done anything to harm an Arab, but yes, I would have felt uncomfortable back then. I wish I could go back and change the way I felt then. I finally realized that being Arab had nothing to do with the evil choices those terrorist decided to do that day.
Now, I can honestly say no. If an Arab sat down in a seat next to me on a plane, I would strike up a conversation with them like I would anyone else.

Well, I would feel rude if I just got up and got off the plane, as someone would be waiting for me at the other end of my destination - so, I'd probably start out by saying hi and as long as I could understand him and he wanted conversation, I'd feel ok. If he was impossible to understand and did not put off good vibes, I'd probably be paranoid. See they won the war already.

I would not feel paranoid. If I am going to fly, I have to trust the process of security, etc. or I will make myself crazy. Quite honestly, I cannot always tell if someone is of a certain origin. I like dark men, so if he was cute, I definitely would not feel bad at all!

I would be freaking out. BUT I'd freak reguardless of who was on the plain, simply because I've never been on a plain before. AirPorts are so parinoid now-a-days that I feel there is nothing to worry about with arabic people on the plain.

I'd be ready to fight if the need came. And yes, I guess you could call that paranoid, but paranoid with a cause.
I HAD to fly the first daye they let us fly after 9/11. My elderly mother was being moved to a home, and I had to be there. I flew, but I was so angry at the terrorist, I was ready and willing to fight to the death. I still feel as strong today.

I am arabian, and I have to say that yes I would feel a little uncomfortable, only because in the middle east right now there are Arabs killing Arabs......so if he was a creapy kind of guy then yes! if he was normal then no not at all.

How would I know they were Arab? Would they be wearing a special patch? I'd only feel paranoid if the person(whomever they might be) was doing strange things....

I would not feel paranoid unless he starting talking about murdering/torturing people or pulled a gun out of his pocket and started waving it around. Then again, I'd feel no differently if the person were white, black, brown, green, or purple. I don't judge people a threat until they prove themselves to be one. ;-)

I wouldn't exactly enjoy the ride but. But I'd just go with it. This isn't a racist question. He just wants feedback.
