Klarph...Media propaganda? I wouldn't call what is actually going on in Palestine media propaganda. I would call it murder though. I would however call what the media portrays for the American public IS media propaganda.

Most Americans, in my opinion, are not totally ignorant when it comes to Israel. They already know that the Israelis are military occupiers and are overly violent and bloody with the Palestinians and Lebanese. But the Americans are too rich and too inactive (or timid) to do something regarding this and to try and help some poor people out there because these poor poeople cannot add remarkably to the profits of America's corporations and politicians.
Another reason: The zionist lobby in America is too strong and influential despite the fact that it is not too large in terms of no. of members, while more than 7 million Arabs in America are (alas!) too selfish and just seeking to make more money and to Americanize their lives and their offspring. But to be balanced, one must admit that the zionist lobby's power and influence in the USA, however, can be primarily attributed to its use of illegal and indecent ways to attract, retain, and blackmail American decision makers. It seems that the jews will never change! The same seductions, briberies, intimidations, entrapments, etc. Sh*t!
A final reason: America's diplomats and policy makers have always (and especially since the collapse of the USSR) preassumed that Arabs are the new strategic enemy of the American empire, mainly because they have never spared some time trying to accurately understand who the Arabs are and what their intentions and desires really are. The jews' primary enemy are the Arabs, too (at least since the Big Bang!). America and Israel are basically allies and just the same in so many things (read below for details). I even claim that both America and its reckless child Israel are two sides of the same coin. Thus, the rule-of-thumb applied by Americans here is: "The enemy of my ally is my enemy". Surely, the Israelis should be very grateful to such a naiive rule still being employed by the superpower of the age of the cybernetics. How lucky Israel is!
So, how are the USA and Israel very similar to each other as I have argued above? Take these points, just as examples:
- Both nations are composed of or are the descendants of immigrants "imported" from other countries.
- Both countries had to kill thousands or millions of native residents before they got established as formal states (Indians for USA, and Arabs for Israel).
- Both nations are greedy for land, oil, power, etc.
- Both nations worship money and are overly materialistic and pragmatic (i.e., "practical", as I know most Americans are terrible at English!)
- Both countries own WMD and world-banned weapons and had actually used them in their battles (America in WWII and in Gulf War 1991 and Iraqi Invasion 2003, and Israel in almost every large-scale military assaults it had ever launched against the Arabs, including the current ones against Lebanon, of course, as most Lebanese getting wounded today start to complain from such "chemical" problems as vomitting and abnormal skin burns and stomachaches - Please refer to Reuters.com and search the index of recent news if you do not believe me).
- Both countries do not respect international legitimacy and do not abide by UN Security Council Resolutions.
- Both countries have formal laws that permit torture and bodily abuse against war prisoners.
- Both countries are racial and discriminatory (America against the blacks and even against the Mexicans today, and Israel against the Arabs first and the whole world second, as they claim being God's chosen people! how sarcastic! how can a GOD be so biased and prejudiced in favor of some of his creatures against the others?!! I think the primary qualities of a God are perfect fairness and perfect knowledge. So, how come?!)
- Both countries are so skilled at media manipulation and brainwashing.
- Both countries are the only remaining military occupiers in today's world.
- ...................... etc.
Sorry for getting out of the track of the answer or getting off-point in the last paragraph, but I had to do so in order to make my answer more explained and documented, as I know most Yahoo! users get allergic when some insane guy like me tries to "touch" Israel.
p.s.: Anyone here knows how Ariel Sharon is doing now at hospital? I hope he doesn't remain like this forever: half alive, half dead. Anyway, I think the sufferings he is experiencing now will not only teach him that it is not right to make any human being suffer because you too are a human being and can suffer some day, but will also help him get unburdened from some of his sins so that when he meets his God (if such a meeting is a truth, as I believe) he doesn't get eternally punished for all his crimes. And by the way, can Sharon be considered a "chosen" person of God?!

This whole crap shoot of living day to day living would fall apart in a heartbeat if all the truths were known.
Ignorant bliss is shared by all of us. If that isn't the worlds true religion, I don't know what is.
I know people are dying of starvation. I packed a lunch with chips without a second thought. I know people have no medications for infectious diseases, I slapped on bug repellent just to walk outdoors. Homes all across the middle east have no electricity, I turned up the central air.

well you can see how difficult it will be to convince someone of the truth in the middle east and a resolution to the problems facing both peoples .IF you look closer you will note that america supports Israel and IRAN AND SYRIA ALSO do there part in supporting palastine.BEING involved in the middle east is what has caused america to become the target of terrorists we need to take back all the guns planes bombs and money and see how everyone likes this.
I AM sure they will be pleased and happy with this plan and it would sure save live's in the long run.
