'I really admire Bono..'.Bum Bono and get 10 points. Strange how this mysterious 'David' has never ever returned. He may be unaware that his regurgitated dross of an answer was chosen. Are the answers chosen via a lottery of some kind? I can already see 5 better than this on the first 2 pages.

All I can think is that the answer was randomly selected some way - whether it be via a lottery of some kind or as mentioned, filtering all the answers to meet the criteria for the type of answer they were after i.e - longest. Some people have spent ages typing away and giving away their time to answer this question and it seems that Yahoo! Answers have come up with the most Generic, ridiculously commercialised answer possible!

Absolutely!
I was the first to post a comment on this dubious answer to Bono's CELEBRITY Y!A QUESTION. David C?... Yeah, right.

In fact, soon after I posted the comment, I posted a question to Y!Aers about David C's 'ringer' answer to Bono's question and urged those who thought it was rigged to report Bono. The responses were overwhelmingly negative toward the pop star and his blatant misuse of the Y!A Q&A forum to generate revenue for The One organization; I believe he was reported several times (I know I did).

There were many Y!Aers who took the time to give a thoughtful and earnest answer Bono's CELEBRITY Question (admittedly, I was NOT one of them). No one with any sense at all believed that Bono himself would pour through almost 30,000 responses to pick a winner...

...But to create and pick a 'planted' answer for the purpose of advertising?... Bono and The One organization should be ashamed of themselves.

I'd lay odds that somewhere within that sea of responses there is at least one truly genuine, thoughtful, and intriguing answer to Bono's question on world poverty...
...sad that we won't see it.

It is funny how the person who got best answer for that, has never asked a question on here, they have never answered any others apart from that one.
It looks like Yahoo are having a laugh here, maybe bono or whoever has just put it on and picked it.
Perhaps Bono wrote it himself.

And anyway there is probably no way that Bono himself read all the answers cause there was far to many.
Perhaps the powers that be just deleted all of the answers that were shorter than 5 lines long or something to narrow it down a bit and then they probably just selected one of the longest answers.

I wonder if anyone from Yahoo will confirm this or maybe they are too scared to admit it but it definetly seems that something ridiculous is going on here with that.

i think of thinking is somewhat mandatory, in spite of the incontrovertible fact that, you may not do it on my own with the Bible till you have information interior of here factors: Linguistics/language Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek. Criticizing the Bible in English is a trademark of critics, who might desire to unavoidably motel to a minimum of one among countless excuses: "The translators of course theory this grew to become into good sufficient, so as that settles it." It on no account happens to them to ask why a undeniable translation determination grew to become into made, or to make a serious learn of the notice in question as mandatory. Literature some people "study the Bible like a newspaper." it fairly is the absolute worst suggestion which could take delivery of for examining any text cloth that's not a newspaper. The genres of the Bible incorporate narrative, poetry, proverbial literature, wisdom discourse, a treaty (that's what Deuteronomy is, have faith it or not!), criminal codes, genealogies, biography (that's what the Gospels are!), own letters and wide-unfold letters, rhetoric (an artwork sort in the classic international), riposte, and apocalyptic. Textual grievance it fairly is an exceptionally expert container of determining the unique state of a text cloth. seek for help from good materials.

Plain and simple...it was a set up..Bono and his P.R. man if it was my guess. I really don't care who's was chosen. It was just a slap in the face to many who took time to give honest thought out answers!! It seems very disrespectful on Yahoo Answers part. Besides its comes down to poor having to help the poor..The rich really couldn't care less. Greed will be the demise of this world..even our beloved Yahoo Answers is turning into a greedy little entity.

I have a hard time taking Bono seriously. Although it is admirable that he is so bothered to fight for his cause, do you not find that he is so far up his own backside that all you can see is his toe nails? He needs to realise that although people do need leadership and guidance they will inevitably do what they want. They cannot and will not be bullied into backing him, when we all have our own problems to be dealing with. Sorry but he is not a man that i would ever like to meet.

I wouldn't lose sleep over it my dear. It is, afterall, only a silly online game.
The only reason they have you earn points, is to make things fair: they just want people contributing answers for others, as well as getting answers from those who specialize in a certain area of expertise.

I say, "poo poo to Bono, and poo poo to David C." And then, I say, "Forget it." Much more important thing to worry about, like, Peace in the Middle East....
