after reading your answers days ago, I went to the the movie. It was fantastic. But can anyone please explain to me what the ending means? I find it a little confusing

It means in the third movie Captian Barbossa, Will, Elizabeth, and the crew will sail to the end of the world to save Captian Jack Sparrow and i agree the ending was a little confusing.

The confusing ending means that there will be a sequel to this blockbuster ($300 million, I hear). A unresolved ending ALWAYS means that everyone hopes the first movie will become a "franchise" and they can extend the plot for, oh say, four more movies over six years and REALLY make a killing.

the man that was @ the end was Black Beard the first owner of the black pearl. the black pearl is the ship that jack sparrow or johnny depp pirated and stole. Black Beard was supposedly dead in the first Pirates in the Caribbean making the ending surprising
i definitely think there is a third pirates of the Caribbean because of how did black beard come back?

Basically that he was the next best captin after jack sparrow so he is going to help everyone get Jack back. And it also means that there is going to be a third one. I really liked the movie and i'm way excited for the next one.
