I read this book ages ago and would love to find it again. However, I'm sure it's well out of print and I don't know the author. It's a humourous look at how to capture famous monsters like Dracula, Wolfman, The Mummy, etc. and then how to keep them around.

Definitely out of print, probably published in the 1970s

Laura Numeroff has a very humorous picture book called "Laura Numeroff's 10-step guide to living with your monster" and while it's not exactly what you're looking for...it might be something you're interested in.

And Barbara Park's book Pssst! It's me the Bogeyman is another great book.

Good luck. You might try your library's computer search. It will allow you to search for books by subject matter. As at the circulation desk how you could best assemble your key words. It may not work at all, but it's worth a shot.
