I hear that AVG is good. (I use Norton)

In general, I check the reviews at http://www.cnet.com
Norton is given a high rating.

But I do not care for the ALL IN ONE packages like Norton Internet Security. I would rather chose the Anti-SpyWare package and Firewall and Anti-SPAM package. That way you can select the BEST of each.

I use SpyBot Search & Destroy and Ad-aware. I also use Zone Alarm.

It's a matter of opinion. Mcaffee and Norton tend to be bloated and may not run well on older systems. PCWorld reviewed many antivirus programs earlier this year so that's a good place to start.

I got avast antivirus4 home edition and it works great. No problems, my computer company told me to load it when MS ran out. I find it better because it lets me know when someone is trying to access my computer or if there is a virus in an email. It is free.
