Gay people are always fashion trend-setters. This is yet another fashion that gay people started that was copied by others.
So it's not a hard-and-fast rule any more that if a guy sports an earring, he's necessarily gay. In my opinion, the more earrings he has, or if they match, the more likely it is that he is gay.
Of course, the best way to find out is to ask. That's the only way you'll get a definitive answer.

Diamonds are so cliche.
I'm a guy, and I have a variety of ear rings. I don't wear hoops.
Some dangle, including this porcupine quill & beads ear ring a friend made for me.
I have American Indian motifs is silver: a bear claw, a couple of feathers, a dream catcher, bear profile, and that pocupine quill & beads - that thing is way cool.

earrings were worn by men long before they became fashionable for women. when a sailor crossed the equator for the first time he got his ear pierced to show it, and the next time across it he would get the other pierced. its manly, its sexy. i like all the guy earings as long as they dont hang down... unless youre going for the bajoran look from star trek.

"Like an previous guy who nevertheless wears jewelry?" i did not comprehend that grew to become into seen youthful. I in simple terms theory they enjoyed to placed on jewelry. truthfully, you recognize what, i think of all upload-ons are pointless in any case. i'm valuable men and lady in simple terms placed on jewelry for type, or out of habit. "a woman who has had 10 face lifts?" A waste of money, and in simple terms shows off how insecure you're. maximum situations, it would not even look good. "a guy who flirts with young women?" Older lady flirt with youthful men too. i think of it would be greater amazing in case you have been fascinated in somebody that grew to become into lots older than you. "a woman who wears mini skirts?" in case you offered the face and the physique, I truthfully would not care. "a guy who drives a purple activities vehicle and shows his gruesome chest?" ok now you're in simple terms imagining up examples . . . "It makes me unwell. Yall?" It would not make me unwell. basically, i'm greater unwell via the actual incontrovertible fact which you're unwell via the random people doing issues that don't impact you.

I wear a silver hoop in my left ear. I got it right after surviving a ship wreck - it's an old tradition.
My wife and kids like it.
