If you are locked in a prison, how often are you allowed to shave ? Are you forced to shave ?

I wonder why jails are not full of people who wear long beards ?

u are allowed to shave once a week but after u shave the razors are picked up by officers. the reason i know is because i worked in a jail facility

why? are you going there?

maybe razor is prohibited since they can use it to kill someone
i think when they get out of prison, they have a chance to shave, shower, and dress up in normal clothes and leave

there are people with beards. I guess some choose not to
