Martin (the second person) is wrong. Ghetto (as the dictionary says) is a group of people in seclusion; (like the Jews) so it didn't START with a group of uneducated youths. Anyways.... You can be both at times I suppose. Just know when to turn them on and off. You can be ghetto around freinds or family, but not at a job interview. Ya undastand?

Myself I'm proper, and ghetto people make African Americans look bad. The high crime rate, not taking care of their children, not working, selling and doing drugs.Everyone has to obey the laws so you can not do what ever you want.
The reason i live in a middle class, 95 % white 5 % Black neighborhood is that i can't STAND GHETTO BLACKS. They like to harass people too much.

I think it is best to be proper. You can be the best educated person in the world and if you come off as ghetto people are going to think you are ignorant.

My opinion is that you should behave in whatever form is appropriate for the situation. If you're with your friends then by all means be ghetto. If you're going for a job interview pr at work or visiting older relatives than it would be better to be proper. You should be able to be how you want to be when you're at home or with your friends.

The ghetto as you put it was started by a group of uneducated youths.
They didn't know how to communicate due to a lack of intellegence.
And you know how people are, when they hear something new, they act the same way.
This is why that funny fad way of speaking came about, someone heard the dumb kids trying to speak, and thought it was funny. Not knowing that they weren't joking.
