I guess when it comes to sport we are arrogant, yet whilst the English say this as a bad thing, it obviously breeds success. Perhaps that is the pommies problem, not an Aussie fault.

Sport and competition are drilled deep into the mindset of Australians.

We are not a superpower, never have been, we dont have a history that stretches back a thousand years, but we have our sport.

They don't get hugged enough as children.. And who cares its not like they're the best in any sport anyway.
