The brush will make the eyeshadow appear more natural and less thick. The sponge is for the "bold" look.

Definitely use the eyeshadow brush , it's easier to apply and it comes out with a more fresh/clean look , though with a eyeshadow sponge your makeup looks heavier and contrived

To me,the eye shadow brush is better in terms of if you want to blend colors together, whereas the eye shadow brush with the sponge tip is if you are just applying just one color on your whole eye lid. I prefer using the eye shadow brush or my fingers because I tend to blend my colors, and I read somewhere that the eye shadow brush with the sponge tip is not good to use.

a sponge you can dab it and you can swereve it. you can do different patterns with it. For a just out and about look use that.

A regular brush just helps apply it. use that for a smooth going to dinner look. then layer the color with the sponge.

It goes on better with the brush. The applicator pulls at the skin, doesn't go on even & the applicator wastes more eyeshadow where it gets packed in the applicator.

brush is better and the difference is that with the sponge it could appear more darker an area and with the brush you can measure the level of how much color you want an area.

Brush= Natural flawless coverage, better for blending

Sponge= Clumpy, noticable, generally not good for applying eyeshadows, may occasionally be used for wet eyeshadows
