glad to see there were some objective answers to part 1, I would like to know what liberals would do in reguards to 9/11. They say war was not the answer so I would like to know what we should have done. it is easy to criticize what we/Bush are doing wrong but I fail to hear what the answer is. Perhaps we should talk to Osama, even though he said we should all die. Perhaps we should have done what isreal did, capitulate and give them what they want. Then they build up arms and attack like Mohammad did (check your history) offers peace to a terrorist is a sign of weakness and an opportunity to build arms. This is an obvious fact in my opinion. Once again I ask what is your answer to what we should do besides fight evil on their homeland instead of ours. Osama himself said they have many plans for the U.S. but are now focused on Iraq. This confirms Bush's statement we would bring the war to them. They literally consider us monkeys and have now problem killing us. What should do we do?

hmm, some very enlightining answers. Where was the leader of al qaeda killed? hmm let me think, could it have been iraq. hmm obviously they had nothing to do with terrorism. Lets see who paid Palistinian families when their sons comitted suicide bombings? It was Saddam. Hmm something to think about. I can be objective and listen to the facts, I seek them out. I have seen the conspiracy movies and such. I enjoy an alternative opinion and want to know what people who disagree think. I still ask what would you have done?

By the way I prefer to belive the non-partisan 9/11 comission over some conspiracy theory. I have also noticed that liberals (as usual) like to start out with an insult. this is common when you disagree with them.

My whole point seems to be ignored by liberals, or they say conservatives do it too. As I said before, Liberals don’t take calls from people who disagree were conservatives put them up first. To be specific Laura Ingram, Al Rantall, Shawn Hannity and especially Lary Elder. They all welcome debate while liberals avoid it. obvioulsy the last post is far too long to respond to every issue. (Someone has been busy cutting and pasting). In a nutshell I will say that the supreme court said the wire tapping was not a violation. If they catch a terrorist in another country and get his cell phone what would you have them do. We have from the time they are caught to the time their buddies find out to listen in on them. This could be at best a few hours. Ever hear of the echelon program started by Clinton? in reguards to the war being impeachable, why hasen't he been impeached then? The intell from every country including france said Iraq had wmd's. I noticed that katrina is also mentioned, and I will say the feds screwed that up but why is no one blaming local politicians at all. New orleans had busses to get the people out but they chose not to because they had no where to take them. How about away from the hurricane. that is total imcompetence if anything is. Again I ask what would you do about terrorism?

Also the torture that happened was putting someone in a room with the air condtioner on high and putting underwear on their head. There was also the dog incident which I think is a joke. It is very sad how are country has become and because of this i think the war in iraq and any other war we fight can not be won. You see there are 2 fronts in a war, the first is obvious it is were people die. the second is were osama himself has stated they will fight and win. and winning they are. it is the psychological war. Terrorist will fight as long as they can. America is weak however in this reguards. You can tell because our leaders are talking about how we should leave. Our own leaders accuse our troops of torturing civilians and show that we do not have the guts to win. just like Vietnam and mogadishu. both wars we were winning but ran away because of the pressures to get out back home. When you do this people die, on both sides. Imagine if we left Iraq, it would be the killing feilds again

- None of the 9/11 hijackers were Iraqi (most were Saudi, the home of our government's favorite middle east dictators)
- Iraq was not a threat to the U.S. and was not planning attacks against the U.S. as the president/vice-president claimed
- Weapons of mass destruction were never found
- Bush began planning the invasion of Iraq before 9/11
- The killing of U.S. soldiers has gone up every year since the war began (even after Bush's banner of "Mission Accomplished")
- The killing of Iraqi civilians has gone up every year since the invasion
- Chaos, instability, unemployment, and destroyed infrastructure have caused tremendous suffering in the lives of ordinary Iraqis

So I guess "being objective" is just being able to ignore the facts and saying, "baaaaaaaaa" the loudest.

Osama speaks for every Arab and every Muslim that ever lived or will live. Did you know that the Bush boys had plans to invade Iraq before he was "elected" in 2000? Did you know that the Bush family and the Bin Laden family have been friends and business partners for many years? Did you know that the white house knew about the 9/11 attacks well before that date and did nothing to stop it? Did you know that the hole in the Pentagon was too small for such a large aircraft to have made it? And that the debris left by the explosion was not consistent with that kind of crash? Also, why was the white house so sure that the plane that was destroyed over Pennsylvania was headed for the white house if they had no prior knowledge. How could they have known so quickly who the supposed perpetrator was if they had no prior knowledge of the attack?

Let's see-- 9/11-- Bush did the right thing (mostly- a few things I don't agree with). That is, go after OBL, Afghanistan and Al-Qaeda network. I highly doubt you will get much disagreement on supporting those. heck, even very liberal folks (like Randi Rhodes) supported going after him.

But where he screwed up was in abandoning (essentially) getting OBL, he diverted us into Iraq when he didn't need to. ther eis no credible evidence that Iraq had a hand in 9/11 or Al-Qaeda (none of any consequence anyway).

Even Rice and others said we had Sadaam contained. We could have continued pressure and gotten those who hated him internally to topple the gov. That's where Bush I failed-- after Gulf war I, the Iraqis were ready to take on Sadaam, we abaondoned them.
