Til There Was You:
There were bells on a hill
But I never heard them ringing
No, I never heard them at all
Till there was you
There were birds in the sky
But I never saw them winging
No, I never saw them at all
Till there was you
Then there was music and wonderful roses
they tell me in sweet fragrant meadows
of dawn and dew
There was love all around
But I never heard it singing
No I never heard it at all
Till there was you
Then there was music and wonderful roses
they tell me in sweet fragrant meadows
of dawn and dew
There was love all around
But I never heard it singing
No, I never heard it at all
Till there was you
Till there was you

It goes like this:
There was a little man standing in the wood
He wore a purple cloak, and a long black hood
Tell me who this man can be
Standing there so quietly
In his purple cloak
And his long black hood.
Are U asleep yet?
I think this is an old German folk song/lullaby.
I could also sing U "Goodnight" written by Paul McCartney.

Wow, I can't believe you asked that right now.. I was just listening to "Lullaby" by Creed. I listen to it pretty much every night....
Hush my love now don’t you cry
Everything will be all right
Close your eyes and drift in dream
Rest in peaceful sleep
If there’s one thing I hope
I showed you
Hope I showed you
Just give love to all
Oh my love…in my arms tight
Every day you give me life
As I drift off to your world
Will rest in peaceful sleep
I know there’s one thing that
you showed me
That you showed me
Just give love to all
Let’s give love to all
=)

The music group "Lamb" has a song titled "lullaby" the lead singer is deep angelic voice is crisp and very beautiful..........another singer would be Rokia Traore the song "m'bifo" she is an African woman who was raised in France i believe so it's interesting how she fuses ethinicty in they way she sings..........both songs worked for my two kids and myself.

My daughter likes "Sweet Baby James" by James Taylor (I sing it to her, but she likes it anyway) and she loves "The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down" by The Band. She also likes "Puff the Magic Dragon" and "Your Song" by Elton John. And "4+20" by CSN & Y
Amazingly enough, "The Needle and the Damage Done" by Neil Young is also good, but kind of...dark.

Originally recorded and released by Ozzie Nelson three-quarters of a century ago.
Later recorded as a wonderful duet by Louis Armstrong and Ella Fitzgerald.
The most popular recording of it was made by Cass Elliot in 1968.
I would supply the following to The Person You Most Wish To Fill Your Heart so you could be sung:
Stars shining bright above you
Night breezes seem to whisper "I love you"
Birds singing in the sycamore tree
Dream a little dream of me
Say nighty-night and kiss me
Just hold me tight and tell me you'll miss me
While I'm alone, blue as can be
Dream a little dream of me
Stars fading but I linger on, dear
Still craving your kiss
I'm longing to linger till dawn, dear
Just saying this...
Sweet dreams till sunbeams find you
Sweet dreams that leave all worries behind you
But in your dreams whatever they be
Dream a little dream of me
Stars fading but I linger on, dear
Still craving your kiss.
I'm longing to linger till dawn, dear,
Just saying this...
Sweet dreams till sunbeams find you
Sweet dreams that leave all worries far behind you
But in your dreams whatever they be
Dream a little dream of me
- "Dream A Little Dream Of Me"

Melancholy girl ...
Close your eyes ...
Listen to my voice tell you all the whys ....
Of living, giving and ways .......
Of loving and feeling all your days .....
That sadness, is the gladness of hope ......
Your heart is your measure of scope ......
So sleep my pretty sad eyed sweet ......
Your dreaming will lay for you a treat .....
The colours and rainbows in your heart .....
For you and nature will never part ......
So, sleeeeeep !! melancholy girl .......
Melancholy girl you are ... the world .....
Sleep, sleep, sleep, deep sleep .......
Silence my sweet as you sleep .....
good night my sweet ........
Sweet sleep ...
Or;
I could whistle Dixie
& do da ya you to sleep !!
smiles

I will rather invent a lullaby for a special girl like you:
Wrap the dreams around ...oh melancholy girl...
Just relax for sometime...oh melancholy girl...
You've been hurt, you've been bruised. Its time to cuddle you...oh melancholy girl...
Take my hand as you sleep, will lead you to heaven tonight...oh melancholy girl...
Let me work my fingers in your tresses ....oh melancholy girl
But leave a smile before you sleep....as i am watching you asleep...oh melancholy girl
