my mom said that I can but my dad is still treating me like I am a 5 year old...how can I earn his trust so he knows that I know what I am doing? (I'm not doing it myself) He thinks that if holes were supposed to be there, they would've been when I was born....Like I said my cuz and I want to get it done together and her parents don't care if she gets it done but my dad won't let me!! Help?!?!?!

I would say talk to your dad about it... sit down with him and explain to him why you want to do it, tell him that you have your mothers support and that you really feel like you are able to handle all the responsibilitys.... Remember he probaly still views you as his little baby girl and he just wants to protect you

going against their wishes is not the way to go... after all, if you break the trust on an ear piercing, what will they think if you want a car, or to go on vacation with some of your friends... bigger things?

If your mom and dad are disagreeing - that's their issue they need to resolve. You shouldn't be caught in the middle. Step up, and kindly request that it's not fair to you to be caught in the middle and ask that they work out the issue and make a decision together.

Then stick with their decision.

Now see if I was still a teen I would have went and got it done as soon as my mom said I could!!! Thats like in our house now- my 15 year olds dad tells him no to something and I say yes- MY WORD beats his word!!! You could still do it-at the mall preferably so its a professional doing the job. Just wear your hair down a little so your ears dont show! How often does your dad look under your hair at your ears? If he notices say MOM SAID i COULD and then its between mom and dad!!! Good luck
