Get the Letts Range if you can find the ones you want. Also WHSmith does it's own revision guides - SATs, GCSEs and A-levels, they also sell guides that have 3 or 4 past papers in. I bought a Letts GCSE Geography Revision Guide, and a WHSmith Past Papers book, both where helpful. After I finished with them I gave them to my Geography Teacher, so he could pass them onto someone in the following year's class.

WHSmith also does it's own little 'dictionary' for each subject, that has some of the key words/phrases and their definitions in them.

I did exactly the same a few months ago and bought ones in all my GCSE subjects. I would say that your best bet is the CGP Complete Revision and Practice range. They are extremely clear and easy to follow and contain everything you need to know, revision notes as well as "Warm up questions", worked exam questions and then actual exam questions at the end of every section, and a practice exam with how to work out your grade advice. If you order online at www.cgpbooks.co.uk you get a 20% discount off every book as well as guaranteed next day delivery. Its a fantastic service.

The Richard Parsons series (can be found on Amazon and has a wee fella on the front reading a book) are excellent, I passed because of them! Although you really should embrace www.bbc.co.uk GCSE revision site, it's great and because it's interactive it keeps your interest in revision and helps retain the information.

The new Lonsdale Revision Guides are excellent. Lonsdale have updated their guides with a 21st century look. The Graphic design is more appealing to pupils. My Year 10 and Year 11 groups have really liked them and they have used them without prompting from me to produce some really good coursework.
