Who is expected to run for President of the United States in 2008? And for Vice President?

The front runner for the democrats are Hillary Clinton, John Edwards, and John Kerry. Al Gore also looks like he might weigh-in.

John McCain and Rudy Giuliani are expected to declare candidacy - rumors are also swirling around Condoleeza Rice. Newt Gingrich (LOL) has also expressed interest.

Honestly, I imagine McCain would probably win the Republican nomination. He's a centrist-republican and has ties to many democrats (rumor was that Kerry might have considered him as a VP candidate in 2004). His only problem will be fanatical, ignorant Neo-Cons who don't think he's "Christian" or "Moral" enough.

Polls show Hillary has a broad base - but so did Howard Dean. I don't think she'll get the nomination - I'll bet the Republicans are hoping she gets it, because there are any number of things about her, her personality and her record that the Cons could attack voraciously.

The Dems would be better off nominating a clean-sheet, centrist candidate - if they really want to win, they need to grab some of the battleground states, and possibly some Red southern states. John Edwards fits the bill - his lack of big-time experience could hurt him, though.

I, for one, am looking for McCain or Giuliani. And I think McCain should have won over Bush the first time around.

I heard that the Republican ticket would be Cheney/Satan. I don't know who will be Prez and VP, but there isn't much difference.
