Just putting it in safe mode might not be enough. There is a procedure you should follow to remove Malware infections. This site walks you through the complete procedure. Even though the article is for Spyware removal and uses Anti-spy program, just replace the programs with you Anti-virus instead. Read the complete procedure first and then do it.
When any of your AV/AS programs say you have an infection, write down the name of it exactly as listed by the program. Put it in any post on here when asking for help to remove it. There are some Malware that requires very special programs and procedures to remove them. It will help me and others to direct you to the correct site that tells you how to remove it properly.

Rebooted the computer and beginning pressing the F8 key as it is booted
There is about a 2 to 3 second time after the word Dell disappears and before the Windows Logo appears where the F8 will work.
It will bring up a menu screen were you can select "Safe Mode"
Your PC will boot into Windows once you have done that, but it ususally takes a little longer than normal, and shows some different screens while booting
Once it gets in, everything will be bigger than normal, but that is OK
All you need to do is run a virus scan and then reboot when done.

Jst before XP logo comes up (or windows logo if you don't have XP) press F8 and a menu will appear. Select Safe Mode. Now this won't help you get rid of the virus!!! You can get rid of it in normal windows by letting the antivirus do the job...

When you boot up your computer, press and hold F8. Then select safe mode from the new screen.
You need to install Antivirus and anti-spyware software right away. Get AVG Antivirus and Ad-Aware, they are free.

If you don't know what you are doing, be very careful in Safe Mode. It is possible to change to settings so poorly that you will not be able to fix it.
