a guy telling you that he doesn't know if he loves you or not when you ask him if he loves you? I know that it could be that he really doesn't feel love anymore, but could there be any other reasons? I asked my exboyfriend, who had just previously told me that he did love me, but I asked him today if he loved me and he responded by saying "I don't know".

Well if he said before that he did and know he doesnt, it sounds like he maybe questioning his feelings...he might have fallen out of love, met someone else, or is just afraid of being tied down by love.

It could be because he is confused about his prior feelings and the time that you had together, if the break up was difficult on him then it just might be that he doesn't know, that he has mixed feelings. On the other hand if he is just a kind harted guy and wants to try and save your feelings it might be that he doesn't want you to be hurt any more than you already have. Its hard to answer a question like this with out some back ground info. Sorry I hope that everything works out OK for you both!

He wants to know how much trouble it will be to tell you he loves you and yet still get in your pants. Trust me...a man who loves you will make sure you know it. He'll also go to great lengths to show it and make sure you're falling in love with him too. These guys sound like a couple of chumps who just want to get laid. By the way, you shouldn't ever have to ask a guy if he loves you. If he does, you'll know!

He might be feeling like you are pressuring him or nagging him. Try giving him a little space and see if that helps. Don't call so much, don't ask so many questions, etc. Let that go on for a few weeks and see if he reverts back to his normal self. If not, maybe you should consider moving on.

"I don't know", in this situation, probably means no...think about it, if he did feel it, he'd tell ya right off the bat...if he's unsure then it's not there...you KNOW when you love someone, even if you are angry or upset with them, you still know what's in your heart...you might not like someone, but can still love them...
...of course, love is such an over-used and misused term these days, that TONS of people toss it around without having any real idea what it means or how it feels...it simply sounds like the right thing to say, or they feel it's what is expected of them...

It's maybe because he feels embrassed saying that to a girl. If it was me i'd just say it if i actually love them. It 's either he's too embarrassed or he just wants to take advantage of you, like your BODY! No offense what so ever.

He sounds confused, does ANYBODY really know what love is maybe he doesn't either it could be that he just has strong feelings for you that he mis took for love. and those feeling come and go with attitude.

Maybe he's not sure of his feelings. Maybe he's going through some things or you both are going through things that have him re-thinking things. Or maybe he's ready to move on because he found a new love interest.
