Different movie trailers have different narrators, but the lion's share of them (at least the ones we remember) are done by two voice-over legends: Hal Douglas and Don LaFontaine. Both share a similar warm, dramatic, baritone voice and a predilection for the words "In a world where..." That's why it seems like you're hearing the same voice in every trailer.
LaFontaine, 64, has narrated over 4000 movie trailers. He's sometimes called "Thunder Throat" or the "Voice of God," and is also known as the father of the modern trailer.
Douglas is somewhat less prolific, but has been described as "perhaps the most recognizable trailer voice in the business." He did the self-mocking voiceover for Jerry Seinfeld's satirical Comedian trailer.
