I first housed my leopard gecko in a 10 gallon tank with calcium fortified sand as a substrate. I added rocks from my garden (be sure to clean them! I baked mine in the oven to make sure they were clean). When he got bigger I moved him to a long 20 gallon tank, to which I added pieces of driftwood (I'm sure you can use other woods, but you might want to check which ones are safe for animals). He loves to climb on his driftwood. I also have a small Rubbermaid container with a hole in the side for a moist box. I put a folded up paper towel inside to hold onto moisture. Last, he has a half log he likes to seep under. Good luck with your little one!

my breeders are in sweater boxes with paper towel and necessitys. My couple I have on display I have in a 70 gallon "lizard Lounge" by Oceanic. I use that play sand from Lowes as a substrate. Keep juvies on paper towel till older. I have two hides made from butter bowls with holes in the sides (one moist and one dry). I just use some rocks from outside washed with a 10% bleach and water mixture. I have a heat bulb in this large tank but I prefer UTH (under tank heat pads for belly heat). Fake plants are liked by some people but I prefer wood pieces. Mine like to dig under rocks and wood and make their own burrows it is kinda cool. They actually only use the moist hide every now and then. They usually have a burrow under the water bowl. Go to www.kingsnake.com and look at the leo forums they are always posting pictures of their tanks on there.
