First, let me say how sorry I am about your bunny. It's terrible to lose a beloved pet that way.

If you have proof, turn the neighbors in to the animal control officers in your town. If you didn't see it, it might have been another stray dog. Don't take revenge on the neighbor's dogs if there is any possibility that they didn't do it.

And don't take revenge on the dogs! It's not their fault if the neighbor lets them run loose. If you try to hurt the dogs, you could be arrested for animal cruelty.

Next time, make sure you put up a sturdy kennel fence around your rabbit hutch, so that NO dog can ever get in and hurt them again.

First off, how did the dog get access to your bunny?
Second, how do you know it was your neighbors dog?
Third, although it is a horrible thing to go through, taking revenge (especially on the dog) would onlymake you feel worse in the long run. You have to keep in mind that it's in a dogs nature to hunt. Not all dogs get along with all animals.

It's in the dogs nature to be curious and maybe the dog killed your poor bunny after the bunny bite it out of fear. Either way, I'm sorry to hear this.

Please.....don't hurt the dog. As much as you feel you want to kill it for what it did to your bunny, it's not worth it. It is the owners of the dog who are at fault. Their dog should be on a leash or fenced in. That way, it wouldn't have had access to your bunny. You can report your neighbors if their dog is not confined somehow. Let the police handle it. The neighbors will get a fine. Money out of their pockets is your best revenge. DO NOT listen to anyone on here telling you to kill the dog. That is just absolutely ridiculous. Where will it get you?

DO NOT KILL THE DOG.

Unless you want probation, a court date, and a record, do not kill the dog. As soon as you kill it they are going to know exactly who did it: YOU. Then, they are going to go to the police and press charges on you. You will be in a world of charges that you dont need.

All you can do is report it to the police. If the dog is dangerous or whatnot, you have a responsibility to say something. Next, it could go after a small child or something like that. Report it so that if the dog ever kills anyone elses pet or destroys property, the police will put it down.

Believe me, you dont want the trouble if you kill this dog. With anyone, it will only make the situation worse. Unless you want criminal charges, dont pursue it.

If you try to get revenge it will only make you look like a fool and very irresponsible. Even if the dogs were to die of natural causes, i bet they would still point in your direction.

Dont listen to all these people, they arent you, they can tell you all kinds of negative things do to, but they wont have to deal with your life, which would be full of negative consequences!

Revenge is never the answer! Why create a cycle of never-ending revenge. I never understood that, if someone does something wrong to you, why would you do something wrong back to them if doing wrong was the problem in the first place. Then, you're just as bad as they are! And why take out vengeance on the dogs!!! They are dogs! They've been BRED by HUMANS to hunt RABBITS!!! They didn't kill your bunny because they have a problem with YOU. Jesus.

No. If the rabbit was worth some money because of it's pedigree you could always take the owners of the dogs to court to try and recoup your loss. Call the police to report the incident so there is a public record of the situation.

Sorry about your bunny. Try to get some evidence and go to the police. If there is a violent dog in the neighborhood or irresponsible owners you owe it to your community to let them know. Don't hurt the dog.

No. Just tell them that they should be sorry, but don't do anything to them or their dogs. Because the dogs don't know that they did anything wrong, they're just being dogs. And it's not the owners fault.
