Create a presentation of your center, including history, mission, real testimonies, future plans and actual pictures. You can create a Power Point presentation, or keep it as a printed material to give out a as handout at the Open House. Depending on your budget, you can families living in your same zip code, by regular mail, including a couple of bullet points of interest from your presentation. Make sure that you schedule staff and teachers to help you introduce your center at the open house. Send special invitations to Realtors and subdivision sorrounding the school, and serve light refreshements.

For all those that are not able to attend (realtors) you might want to send them a CD containing the presentation, with a nice label and brochures.

Good Luck!

I don't have any ideas but wanted to comment on the idea of inviting realtors. Wow! An awesome idea! This would be good for our school. We are in an urban area where the state is offering vouchers for students to attend private or charter schools. We really have a good school and most do not realize it. I really like that idea.

The only open houses that have been a success with the local parents are those that offer food.

Have an open house for realtors instead. Serve some light refreshments. They will bring clients by if they like what they see. This is a better plan than an open house for people who are mostly just curious.

You can ask any Japanese Architects and Engineers, as I believed that they have built there houses that way for centuries.

I'm just new in the Internet accessibility. But maybe some people could lead you to the Japanese Builders.
