Yeah you can go to a pool if you cant swim but i recommend to stay in the shallow side or you might drown.

yes, you need to let them know. Also where I live if you cant swim then they have a bracelet you wear so the lifeguards know. And they ask you to not go in the deep end.

well, I doubt that they can go swimming if they can't swim, but the public pool isn't going to tell them that you can't get in the water...

They can be in a public pool...yes....but if they can't swim, than i doubt they'll be swimming there.
