Also, i'm not necessarily referring to any conspiracy, but governments' as an entity seem to act in their own best financial interests and not their peoples' these days.

Only to a degree, perhaps. We must all be mindful of the fact that the problems in the Middle East have been created by those who would take away freedom and democracy; not only from those Middle Eastern nations that are affected, but eventually from the rest of the world as well. Does anyone remember 9/11? Such religious extremists who want to convert the whole world to their way of thinking by force and violence are a definite threat to worldwide freedom and democracy.

Obviously, I haven't heard about a single bombing from Iraq since this Israeli conflict began. You know the "insurgents" (i.e. Iraqis that have nothing left to lose and are choosing to foolishly and wrongly blow up other Iraqis and Americans) haven't stopped what they were doing just to watch this.
